Traffic Parrot Open Source Software usage process

Version 3rd-June-2021


Training plan for Traffic Parrot staff on Open Source component usage to be completed upon joining the company. This process has to be followed by Traffic Parrot employees as well as subcontractors.

  1. Traffic Parrot does not allow the use of any strong copy-left licenses Open Source components such as GPL. Please do not import any strong copy-left open source components into Traffic Parrot.
  2. Traffic Parrot does not allow the use of any unlicensed Open Source components such as projects with no license defined or code posted on web resources/forums/mailing lists.
  3. Please run a security CVE scanner before each new public Traffic Parrot release and confirm there are no critical security vulnerabilities.
  4. Please meet the obligations of the open-source licenses used. This typically means including a copy of the license file in the distribution.
  5. Please send an email confirmation to training@trafficparrot.com to acknowledge the completion of this training module.
